Black-spotted Newt Survey

In February 2008 Houston Zoo's Paul Crump and Rachel Rommel joined staff from the Dallas Zoos Herpetology Department Bradley Lawrence and Kelly Bradley in a Black-spotted Newt survey in the Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge in South Texas . This was one of a series of field trips to this region of Texas to determine the current distribution and population status of the Newt.
